Cytology
Our full in-house laboratory allows us to run tests so we can better diagnose your pet. With our in-house laboratory we get results on most tests within minutes. We offer complete blood counts (CBC), metabolic chemistries, urinalysis, and special testing including blood clotting analysis, cortisol assays, progesterone, fructosamine and thyroid testing. We also offer screening and testing for intestinal parasites and heartworms; and viral testing for infectious disease including parvovirus, feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, and some tick-borne diseases.
Our comprehensive in-house laboratory allows us to perform microscopic evaluations of skin, ear infections, and urine. Samples of nodules and masses may be obtained with a small needle and evaluated for cancer. Cytology samples that require advanced evaluation and special staining are sent to Board-Certified pathologists for a diagnosis.

“Hospice Care focuses on providing the best quality of life possible for a pet with a terminal disease or condition until the pet dies or is euthanized. Hospice care also helps you by providing you with time to adjust to the coming loss of your companion. The care is tailored to the needs of both you and your pet.”
