Conditions Treated with Laser Therapy

Cancer can be a terrifying diagnosis, but in our cats and dogs, many cancers have a good prognosis with standard treatment while achieving a good quality of life. In contrast to human oncology, our veterinary oncology patients tend to tolerate chemotherapy much, much better. Our objective is to treat your pet, while ensuring your pet’s life is worth living. If a pet experiences a side effect, we have medications that can help minimize these effects. We partner with you to continuously monitor your pet’s quality of life and adjust treatment plans as needed.

  • Chronic otitis
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Hip dysplasia

  • And more

Oncology Services

Dr. Lisa Reeve has a strong background in human oncology and experience in chemotherapy protocols for cats and dogs. It was treating her first patient, a Goldendoodle puppy she named Bruiser, for a severe bleeding disorder, that she knew she wanted to use her knowledge and experience from human oncology to treat cats and dogs.

Meet Bruiser Bruiser was brought into the clinic as an 8-week old puppy with severe bleeding requiring an immediate blood transfusion to survive. Bruiser was surrendered to Dr. Reeve and became a beloved member of her family and the clinic family. After extensive testing including a visit to Texas A&M Small Animal Clinic, Bruiser was diagnosed with a severe immune-mediated thrombocytopenia (destruction of his platelets). Bruiser was treated medically with immunosuppressive agents, vincristine (a chemotherapy), blood and platelet transfusions, and a splenectomy over the course of nine months. He was the best puppy and he loved to run in the backyard, lay with his buddy Jax in the jasmine, and had a wonderful, but short life. Although we gave him every chance to live, he did suddenly cross the rainbow bridge just shy of his first birthday.
